At the Barford Inn

I am delighted to have some of my photographs hanging in the Barford Inn, Barford St. Martin, here in Wiltshire.

A charming former coaching inn which dates back to the 16th Century, The Barford has a wealth of character, including large inglenook fireplaces and oak panelling. I couldn't hope for a nicer place for them to be displayed.

The photographs are all of nearby scenes or subjects and I understand that they are attracting interest from locals and visitors alike.

Here are some shots of a few of them together with the original images used in the framed photos.

An autumnal view of one of my favourite places to visit throughout the year.

This grove of beech trees rises to the top of nearby Wilton Forest and the changing seasons always provide a different perspective.

Poppies taken in a field of barley high on Barford Down which lies at the top of
the Grovely Road which in turn conveniently runs alongside the pub.

A great way to walk off the excesses of lunch!

These two shots of the same bird keeping an eye on the bar area much to the discomfort of
the anglers who fish the River Nadder trout stream just a few hundred yards away.

In the photograph, he is keeping an eye on the fish, perched in a bankside alder tree.
